craigslist

craigslist, ebay

Used cars.com

Edmunds.com would be your best bet...

Goodluck

Ridesafely . com or exporttrader . com witch is eligible ?

Looking to buy salvage car and wondering is any better web site for salvage because found lots of negative for ridesafely and exporttrader . Is it any better around ?

Yes there is one ! Copart recently launched reseller program allowing anybody I mean anybody public in all maens to buy any vehicle direct from COPART.com. I just got good deal my self, service was superb ! I what is most important you register with them and you will buy car yuor self is is treasure in salvage island !

www.easyexport.us an official Copart Reseller !

Good luck !

Does a car have to be registered in order to sell it?

I'm looking to sell my car, but it hasn't been registered since December of 07. It was wrecked pretty badly in an accident, and since the person who did it didn't have insurance, I pretty much got screwed. I owe about $100 or so to fix the registration issue, I just haven't gotten around to it yet, and want to just get rid of the car now.

So, what do I need to do to sell it? Can I just sell it as, and go turn the plates in and deal with the registration issue, or do I need to take care of the registration and reregister it before I sell it?

I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but I don't plan on fixing the car up prior to selling it...there are a lot of Integra enthusiasts out there, especially in my area, so I figure the person can either use it for parts, or fix it up themselves. Also, I live in California.

I am not sure why you have a fine for an unregistered vehicle unless you were driving it unregistered or it was parked on public property unregistered but that will have no bearing on the new owner being able to register it. All you need to do is go to a notary with the title and the new buyer and both sign the title in front of the notary. DO NOT SIGN IT BEFORE. You will also give the new owner a bill of sale at this time. Make sure it states on it that it is sold "as is" to avoid problems later. Do not let them use your plates even just to drive it home. Chances are you will not get your plates back. Since the registration is out on the plates and it will probably be cheaper to get new plates when you replace your vehicle, just send them back ASAP. You also do not have to give them an estimate on how much to get it repaired, that is for a mechanic or body shop to do. Hope this helps.

NO BUT if the new owner wants it on the streets legally then he must register it. Before you sell it you need to let the perspective buyer know the cost or bringing it up to date.

yes

Which one is better ? Mercedes-Benz or BMW ? and Why ?

Depends on your likes.

If you like alot of creature comforts and an "over-luxurious" vehicle, then you will find a MB a pleasant place to spend time.

If you are like me and you actually like to drive and you like quick steering ratios and you like the feeling of teh road in your palms, then BMW is your car company.

Personally I dislike driving my dad's S-Class (besides the fact that it got me where I needed to go and its got alot of power) because its rather boring to drive. I would much rather spend time in the Stepmom's Stang GT or my own Probe GT.

And neither BMW nor MB is more reliable across the board. My dad's old S-Class (97 S420) Lived in the shop while my next door neighbor had a 93(ish) 318i that I almost never saw out of commission and she had it the entire time we lived next to her (since1997) until late 2007 when she got a CRV.

The Mercedes hands down...............its a better vehicle overall, its more reliable and it will last a lot longer...

Buying a used car...?

I'm looking for a car these are my choices:

Acura RSX, Audi A4, Chevy Cobalt SS, Mazda6, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Nissan 300zx, Toyota Celica.

What do you recommend?

I'm looking for something quick and reliable.Doesn't have to be 5 year reliable, I'll probably keep it for 2-3 years.

the RSX-S is an awesome little car (get the sport version if possible which has a lot more kick).

audi A4's are great cars too but it depends on what year the car is--they've been plagued with maintenance problems in the past.

Mazda6 is a great car too, at least the more recent ones are.

I'm not keen on the celicas in terms of style but in terms of reliability, Toyota can't be beat.

i would stick with these; with the RSX-S my first pick. (note the RSX has limited room--but so does the nissan 300zx or the eclipse)

You dont state your needs with the vehicle, but from these I would choose a Mazda6 (s Hatchback) for a car that near perfectly melds utility and fun and economy. So basically its the most Quick and Relieable

If its purely for fun then a 300zxTT. If its for fun on a budget then the Cobalt SS because it has a bigger back seat than the RSX and Celica. Although when comparing the Supercharged SS (versus Turbo in 08 ) to the RSX-S the Acura wins as a better driving machine.

go for nissan skyline GTR or toyota supra twin turbo

eclipse is my favorite out of those.

How can I appreciate this car.?

My dad got this deal from this guy he works with to buy a 500 dollar car for me,which is great! But it doesn't look good at all..not even a little..there are too many rusty brown looking scratches..it wouldn't be so bad if the car wasn't white..I asked my dad what color it was and he said goldish tanish..uhmm nope..its white..I am trying not to be a brat about it because it is a car and I need one..but it is embarassing..

What can I do? I am thinking about covering up those rusty spots with a paint job..how much would that be?

Just sand it down and rattle can it. Maybe Cammo or something neat. That way it's your own design and it will only cost about $100 in paint if that. Plus touch up in the future is a breeze. Just remember that your top priority is school and not looking cool in your car. In 10 years you will know what I'm talking about. The kids who have to keep jobs to drive their cool cars will still be working at those jobs but if you get a full education, you will be the one in the drive through ordering from them in your nice car.

Get a can of buffing compound and see if you can polish the stains out or since it is white you could consider it a canvas and do something creative yourself or find a young aspiring artist and let them practice on it.

That will be expensive. More then a $ 1000.00. If you have the money go for it. If not Just drive it like it is. It gets you where you have to go. Try doing things on your own to make it better. Good Luck

sand it down and put cheap flat paint on it and it will be better

What size of dirtbike should i be using? Engine Size, type etc.?

Hello, I am wondering which type of motorbike bike i should be buying. Please Note im on a small budget nothing mega..

Im 5ft 3 and 12 years of age. I suppose im quite tall for my age. Chunky build (No idea of my weight).

Ive had some experience as i had a PW-80 but sold it just before Christmas.

What do YOU think?

My son is 13 and 5'1" and he rides a 2004 Suzuki drz 125. It is a great bike for a newbee, but it pulls me around really well too and I am over 200 lbs.

You should be able to find one of these for around $800-$1200

i have 2 boys one is 15yrs old with a kx 125 and the other 23 yrs old with a honda cr 125 both bikes worth between 800-1000 they started of with the PW-80 then went to quad bikes now they r onto jet-skis so no matter what u get u will get fed up with it and want something different again and again

How much would these two CARS be worth? HELP ME?

We're planning to trade in a 1989 Ford Taura LX

and a 1999 Pontiac Cavellier for anewer car. What kind of car could I get for both of these? How much are they both worth?

together maybe 5,000

15gs if lucky a some what newer used car

go to kbb.com and they will tell based on options, mileage and condition.

Im looking for a fast muslce car but under 10000 so help me out?

pleaseeeeeeee

10,000 is alot of money.....you can choose between tons of cars with that much. where do i even begin? Get a classic car magazine at the fill up next time your there. I got one the other day for 6 bucks with 3,300 different classic cars for sale. found my dream car for 5,000. If your looking for something like an old trans-am, stingray corvette, nova, there are more muscle cars from the 70's that would meet your budget. the cars from the 60's though...they are pure muscle. i recommend the classic cars becuase they dont have computers and are good for fixing yourself. if you go with a clasic car dont expect original interior. Make sure the dash is there and in good order....the rest you can fix up as you go. 10,000 can get you some pretty jaw dropping classics. If your willing to put some work into them. if you dont know how to work on cars at all maybe you should think economic. if you do now how to work on cars you can piece your car together for a fraction of the price

454, 302, 350, 351, 400, 383.....these are a few engines to look for

Check craigslist everyday throughout the state you live.

Good luck

Lots of chevy cars that came with v8s from 75-92, buy one for with a good body for 1000, put 1500 into a good th350 tranny, Weld the rear end tubes to the housing, or swap in a 9" ford, then throw in a good crate motor, and a screw type charger, finish with the $ left and smoke all who oppose.

Personally i'd look for a later model trans am/camaro. Nice fun cars with an LS1 engine and a T56 transmission. You can usually find some for under 10K.

dodge Omni

Any recommendations? I am looking to buy....?

I am looking to buy a new digital camera. I would like to find one that is has a large LCD screen, decent memory, clear pictures, and is of some sort of color besides black or silver. I would also like to find one that is a digital camera/camcorder combo. I found one at target but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Something that is under $150.00.

Polaroid makes a few digital cameras that aren't too expensive that also usually come in a variety of colors. In my opinion, they're fairly decent--not the best, but not the worst either. They do sell plenty of accessories as well if you're looking for such things.

Don't let megapixel count fool you, however. Unless you're going to be cropping pictures into a fraction of the original frame or printing pics bigger than 8"x11", you really don't need to take pictures at higher than 2 or 3 megapixels--more than that will just be wasted data. Most users really don't need a 10 megapixel picture...

I am planning to buy one car. Which colour I need to choose. My choices are Silver and Sparkle blue?

Which colour I need to choose from this two

well i think you should be the one who should be choosing what color your car should be, Because, if we sit here trying to answer this questions, sharing our opinion, instead you should make up your mind on what color goes with your own personality, my point is if you asking us what choices we have? is like if we tryin' to pick the car color for you, see what i mean...so make up your mind...and good luck :)

blue in my opinion, silver is dangerous in rain because it blends in so it is hard to see - meaning it's unsafe. blue stands out better.

I'd go with the blue. Silver is boring and everyone already has it.

I say silver...Blue cars are kinda ugly to me!

Which is better, bmw X5 or Audi q7?

Help me, my wife wants x5 but i prefer q7.. thanks.. which is better?

Both are good cars, but in the end, the X5 likely takes the vote for having a better and broader respect base, whereas the Q7 takes the nod stylistically and dynamically.

Some would argue different however. I can tell you this:

A Q7 diesel is a great vehicle, but so is a 4.5i X5. Your call my man, your call.

Bmw X5 is the best car & ur wife's decison is absolutly right.Trust me

First Car- What car to Choose?

What would you choose outa these Cars to get for 1st Car,

2003 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

2003 Honda Civic 1.4i S

2001 Honda Civic 1.4i S

2001 Seat Leon TDi S 90hp

1999 Volkswagon Golf 1.9 TDi S

2003 Seat Ibiza 1.2S

2002 Seat Leon 1.9 TDi S

2003 Seat Leon 1.9 tdi 110 se

The Leon is the better of the cars listed here.

If it were my money the 2003 Leon 1.9tdi 110 would be top of the list. The golf is too old and the Mk4 hasn't got the best reputation although the diesels are good

Forget the Ibiza, its way underpowered.

Focus is a great all rounder but its nothing startling to look at and they dont take much abuse.

And as for the honda, yeah its a good car but the 1.9 Seat (VW engine) is a better car.

my choice would be:

1. Seat leon 1.9 tdi

2. Honda Civic

3. Ford Focus

Forget the rest.

Hope this helps

As it's a first car I would recommend something small and cheap to insure, so the Seat Ibiza 1.2 would be my choice. If size and insurance costs are not an issue, I would go for the Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec: it's a lovely car to drive and relatively good on fuel consumption. I've owned one for nearly a year and I'm very pleased with it.

ford would be cheaper to run, however focus 1.6 will be quite expensive to run and insure as a first car, unless u need a lot of space why not look at a Ford Fiesta or Ka they are great first cars. good luck.

Davy I think your best option would be to buy the autotrader and look for the cheapest automobile that will get you from A to B

This credit crunch isn't going to go away anytime soon remember save money, buy a sh*tter

The Golf's your best bet for reliability, comfort, residuals and quality.

Don't get a Ford. The Honda will outlast a ford.

I've driven a 2005 and a 2008 Focus and they are great on gas, just get a warranty.

Buy which car magazine.

Can i have my father co-sign a car loan and then later remove him?

I'm currently 17 and am looking into purchasing a new car. I have a steady job and can provide proof of income but as i'm told i can't purchase the car on my own. So could I have have my father co-sign for the loan and then when i turn 18 have him removed from the loan?

Or should i just wait untill i turn 18 as its about 2 months away..

The only reason i'm rushing now is i found the exact model car i want and want to grab it before someone else does!

Not until the loan is paid off. Once the contract is signed that's the way it's going to stay. Even after you turn 18, your chances of obtaining a loan on your own without a co-signer are slim.

well his name will be on loan and only way to get name off loan is to pay off loan why not buy a cheaper used car that you dont need a loan for and waiting to get a loan well wouldnt matter if you was 18 or 21 still first timers most cases need a cosigner

What difference does it make to have your father's name on the loan.

I makes no difference at all!

The only way to get him OFF the loan documents is to pay off the loan or refiance under your own name.

yes but you will have to wait until the loan is paid off.

Returning a leased car consequences?

I'm leasing a nissan sentra 2008 for 38 months, I want to return it after 12 months so far, does someone know how much they gonna charge me for that? will this affect my credit? any tips and advices please.

WHY NOT JUST SELL/SUB-LEASE TO SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE LEASING COMPANY'S PERMISSION.... YOU PUT IT IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER AS "TAKE OVER LEASE", AND IF THEY PASS THE LEASING COMPANY'S CREDIT CHECK, AND IT IS AUTHORIZED BY THEM, YOU'RE OFF THE HOOK.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure it will affect your credit. And for penalties look at your lease agreement; this will most likely list any penalties from returning the car early. It could conceivably be anything up to the full amount of payments you were obligated to make for the life of the lease (though probably not that much). Unless you have a fantastic reason for returning it (being sick of it doesn't count) returning it is a really bad idea.

You signed a contract to lease the vehicle for 38 months. If you do anything other than honor the terms you agreed to in that contract, it will negatively affect you.

will count as a repo unless you pay them the balance of pmts owed or sell the car and pay the difference between the payoff and value.

What is a good car for a high school senior?

I would look at the VW GTI or Jetta, Honda Accord coupe, older BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Infiniti G20 and Volvo S60.

All of them fairly conservative (except the GTI) but all of them great cars with lots of style and class. All of them used.

Lambo but you have to buy two because one will always be in the shop because they break alot

vw jetta. kia spectra, hyundai elantra, chevy colbalt

camaro or mustang. great cars very reliable

one that MOM or DAD pays for......

Why do people kick car tyres?

When people go to look at a car, to buy it, why do they kick the tyres?

i think often its more of a symbolic thing than anything. Making sure the car is "sound". The only practical reason would be to see if the tires are sturdy and full of air.

Because when you kick the "tyres", it sends a vibration throughout the whole frame of the car as well as to the car's computer (ECU), since the "tyres" are directly routed to the frame of the vehicle. Thus, once you kick it, any problems that the car has will suddenly be known. Lights on the dash will start going off and the horn may even go off. Don't be alarmed if the airbag comes out and bust the windshield, for this is a common problem with some older cars. It's also possible that if the car has ever been in an accident that body panels will start falling off onto the ground. And that is why you kick the "tyres" when you go looking to buy a car.

Kicking the tyres is totally different then kicking the tires.

it's to check the air pressure. same reason a truck driver uses a ball peen hammer or a prybar to hit the tires to check the air pressure some use what they call a tire thumper but they're absolutely worthless and half the time you can't detect a flat as easily with them. just by listening anybody that knows what an aired up tire sounds like can what the tire should sound like if the pressure is about right. that's why people kick tires. it's a lot eaiser than pulling out a pressure gauge and chcking them. that's why people kick them.

It is a strange but true human phenomenum to 'agitate' something to 'check it out'. Kicking the Car body would have damaged it if you intend to buy it, or you might hurt yourself if you don't intend to buy it. The tire is the best place to play out this ritual...

It's an old saying that means "look the car over real good". Nobody literally goes around kicking tires anymore.

It came from the old buggy days when you would kick the wooden buggy wheels to make sure they were sturdy.

to check the air level, it the tire is low on air then the your foot wont bounce back as much and the tire will wiggle. If it is full then your foot'l bounce back and the tire wont move

-To release bliss emotion

-To tighten tire's rubber

-To make sure on the status of tire

-No other things to do

-Habit

-Hatred to the car or tire

"tires" - cause you cant kick the car

to check the durability.

the tyres are full of air and sturdy

Because of anger.

because their dog is not there.......

to check they aren't flat x

Is a Renault Megane a good car for a 17 year old?

as thinking of gettin 1 when i pass my test

wot r the pros and cons

Insurance will be quite a bit.

Get something smaller:

If you like Renault's go for a Clio/Twingo

If not bothered base Fiesta.

Mr A

Is there any place I can get a free history report for my car?

I need a history report to sell my car.

do you know where I can get one for free?

You don't need one to sell your car.

Most buyers will pay for it themselves if they are interested in your car.

freehistoryreport.com

If it's worth something to you - pay for it.

"Nothing" in this world IS FREE !!

Title loan on Car??? good or not so good idea?

Okay lets say i have 2 credit cards each with a balance of $3,000 at interest rates of 23% each.Would it make sense for me to do a title loan on a car i own that%26#039;s completely paid off for that $6,000 even if the interest rate maybe 30% or more (worst case scenario)?

I was just thinking one interest payment is better than two is it not?

Also I think I will be doing the loan with a credit union.

Generally, there is some common sense to combine two payments into one. But $6000 at 23% as opposed to $6000 at 30%, that just doesn%26#039;t make sense.

If you are a credit union member and can get a loan to pay off both cards at an interest rate lower than 18 or 19%, then go for it. But don%26#039;t give up 23% in favor of 30%. bad move.

I wouldn%26#039;t do the title loan. I%26#039;d just take the lowest balance and pay that one down as fast as I could while making minimum payments on the other. That way you get rid of one payment. Once the first is paid off, then you pay the next loan down as fast as you can.

I wouldn%26#039;t get any other loans, especially a title loan. You should make a resolution to not borrow any more money. You can%26#039;t get rich by borrowing money. The government thinks they can, but they don%26#039;t deal in reality.

What type of car should I buy in the future?

im saving up for a car. I want a cheap one thats good running, and not that old.

G3 or G5. both are good on gas, you can get them used for cheap. Honda and Nissan will be a little more expensive as they are not domestic and hold their value better. same with Toyota.

You can go Ford Focus, the newer model ones are actaully good. Don't get anything b4 2004 though.

G6's are nice, i love mine. They are a little more expensive but the base model ones used are pretty cheap. Good cars.

a Huyandai or a Kia.........their quality is terrific now..........they come with a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty.....they also have some sporty models...........google the "KIA SOUL" ( a GREAT little runabout) or the Hyandai Tibourn (not too sure about the spelling, but a great little fun car along the lines of a Scion TC.........either way, they're CHEAP and FUN.............happy motoring......

What is a clear (non salvage) title?

I am selling my car- this guy asked if it has a clear (non salvage) title. what does that mean?

A salvage title is when a car is in an accident and it cost more to fix it than it was worth but they fixed it anyway.

no accidents

Is it ok for me to include my car vin# in an ad?

I want to sell my car- people keep asking me stuff about the title & so can I put the vin# in the ad so they can look up what they want?

Vin# allows buyers to run a background check with Carfax. Don't worry, personal information (name, address, etc) is not included. It only shows whether the car has had any accidents, how many owners it has had, what type of title it has and what city/state it was registered in.

You can include it in the ad or give it out if someone asks. Your choice.

Do you realize anyone can simply walk up to your car and read the VIN#? I wouldn't have a problem give the VIN # to a prospective buyer.

I need help.--I have a part time job making 900 a month and I need a car for college and back to work......?

but every car dealer says i dont make enough but i know i can afford at least a 200 payments, what should i do

You have to establish a credit rating or get someone with credit who makes 800 plus per week to co-sign for you on the car you want. You will pay it off and then it will be yours, but otherwise you will have to make a huge downpayment to get the car. I would recommend buying one from an individual or from ebay or craig's list. A beater is what you want right now, cheap to buy and fixable. Keep your expenses down. Easier to fix a car than make payments. Trust me.

ask your parents to CO-SIGN the payments ; you can probably get twice as much....since you're going to college, it's a worthwile cause....not if you were just working at Walmart, smokin' weed, and boozin' it up, that's a different story.

Dont your believe that car prices should go down?

just a couple thousands down. I mean for real some cars are over priced. Its not like cars last forever right its eventually going to die. I beleive those hybrid cars should be more cheaper so we can buy them and make the air cleaner. Dont you all agree? they say lets go greeen but look at those high ranked prices. I mean for a 22 year old who goes to school and pay bills "( seems too much for hybrids. If only they put the prices down on hybrid cars so we dont pollute the air

Some cars are overpriced, that's why you shop and pick the right one. Hybrids are pricey because the tech is new and expensive. Should prices go down, NO. That would be worse. Everybody is struggling, not just you, but companies are not going to lower prices just to make it easier on us.

You know that cars are made by businesses don't you? You do realize that cars are priced so they can make a profit for the business dont you? Generally speaking a car that costs $25K or so costs the automaker like $23.5K or so to make. You don't start to hit big profit margins until you start to go with $70-80K automobiles and even then the profit isn't as much as you might think(like $5-7K).

Don't cry about supporting domestic automakers that can't pull a profit if you want cheap cars then.

I am a 29 year old who went back to school and does just fine on half the money of the previous job, paying rent, and anything else I have to to get by.

Also, my v6 engine in my 2003 F150 is ULEV rated, gets 22 MPGs on the highway, carries up to 6 people comfortably, carries upwards of 1500 LBs in the bed, and can tow up to 5,000 LBs.

Tell me what your hybrid can do that my truck at $25,900 MSRP (bought it for $9000 two summers ago) that my truck can't?

So you're 22 and not making 200000 a yr and cars are expensive and just caus eof that they 'should' be cheaper for YOU. Gosh how tough the world is! If you want cheaper and clean air, ride a bicycle.

you are talking about DEFLATION, which is worse than a RECESSION or a DEPRESSION...........God help us if there is DEFLATION...........you wanna work for $95.00 a week ?

I think the price of everything should go down.

well considring they cars that cost over 1 million dollars

im sure 20,000 is quite a deal
