I need a running unregistered car for 500 or less dollers (in Sydney)?

websites? or do you have a car u want to sell?

craiglist.com

Just got new halogen headlights?

it seems that when i turn on my headlights the beam pattern is pointing up instead of down towards the road, is there a way that i can reposition my headlights so that they are centered to the ground?

Dumb question for you.

Are they in upside down?

It is possible to install a sealed beam upside down, and what you're describing is the result. I've seen it many times. Check the part number on the headlight and make sure it's right side up. If they are in upside down, the high beams should hit the road right in front of the car when activated.

Check that before you start trying to aim them.

K.

Go to your Auto Parts store and buy the manual for the car you own. Know the year, make and model of your car and pay the 20 dollars. In that manual is everything you need to know about this car. It should show you how to aline your lights in an easy way.

There should be some screws near the headlights (if you pop the truck open) that you can adjust to get the beams pointed correctly. Or, you could just have your repair shop do it for probably not much money...

Car Lighter Doubler, does it affect perfomance of the car when using car lighter to charge my tomtom and?

also connect my mp3 fm transmitter? i havent bought it yet, i need one and want to know any alternative to it.

No, it would not affect the performance of your vehicle. You would need to check the total amps required/usage vs the amps of your fuse (for the car lighter) in the car fuse-box. The fuse will blow if the total ampage exceeds that of the fuse rating.

I have a SatNav which I charge from my car lighter. I have also charged my son's Nintendo and other gadgets. It does not affect your car's performance in any way.

Shouldn't affect the performance at all. As long as your alternator/battery are fine.

Definately not

not at all.. the alternator outputs more than enough

I would like to know where the computer is located in my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L?

Can the rotors for a 98 Corolla can be installed off the shelf, or do the bearings need to be pressed?

My dad and I are replacing the brake rotors on my 98 Corolla LE. Can they just be installed off the shelf, or do we need to go to a machine shop to have the bearings pressed in?

I dont know what your saying off the shelf, but to answer your question you do not need to mess with the bearings to install the rotors. Press what bearings. wheel bearings are not pressed in. pressed in by hand not machine pressed,

take off tire. take off caliper, pull off rotor with your hand , it just pulls off you may have to lightly tap it then pull it good luck this is an easy job

on most cars now the rotors and bearings are no longer together the bearings are in the hub so you will only need to slide the old rotor off and stick on the new one after you have removed the brakes and mounting hardware

There are lots of 4 seat convertibles around. Just keep in mind that many of them have really snug rear seats as the 2 sides of the car around the rear seats usually house the folding top frame and mechanisms. This really cuts into seating area in the rear.

I have a VW Cabrio. They stopped making them in 2003 so they are used. I have a 2000. I LOVE IT.. but I do have to say it is a girl car. I bought mine in 04 so it was 4 years old for 12500..

Whats the difference between h-pipes, x-pipes, and straight pipes (and what is their purpose)?

I have a 2006 Mustang v6 and I wanna make it sound pretty good. I wanna put flowmaster 40's (and maybe headers and cold air intake) on it but I'm not sure what else Im supposed to put on it to make it sound good (H-pipes, x-pipes, or straight pipes). I had and sold a 94 gt 5.0 and am gonna miss the sound and wanna replicate it as much as possible

I will assume when you say straight pipes that you mean no connection between the pipes. With good mufflers and headers and a healthy cam, I suspect most performance guys would like the sound of straight pipes at idle the best. However H pipes were found to improve low end torque at a small sacrifice in high RPM horsepower.Because of the blending of the 2 sides they tend to produce a smoother burble at the tips.X-pipes were found to be a good compromise between low RPM torque and high RPM horsepower. They also add a very distinct high RPM pitch that I can only describe as NASCAR sounding. With the correct mufflers and true dual exhaust your V-6 may sound V-8ish but at higher RPM's it will still sound like a 6. Try Magnaflow for a nice sound.

Mike

Oh dude the 5 liters are so much better then the new Stangs. But anyways

SO here's the deal chief, most 5.0 stangs have H pipes on them making them sound deeper, but if your looking for a raspy sound then you want a X pipe.

Straight pipes are regular exhaust pipes.

So if you want it to sound just like your 5.0 then put an H pipes in

Old holden with a turbo advice please?

hi i have a old holden hk wagon with a 202 3.3 ltr motor & im thinking of putting a custom made turbo manifold with turbo on it & im wondering do i have to get a different head gasket for a turbo as im told i may need to decompress the head pressure.

Yes you will need to lower the compression ratio. And beef up the lower end. To be honest it involves a lot of work if you want it done properly and for the engine not to be unreliable. You say you have 'an old holden'. I'm guessing that means old and worn. Old and worn motors don't take too kindly to suddenly having forced induction on them. You will find things will break. You will need to richen the mixture up when on boost because if you don't you will get a weak mixture. Weak mixture means hotter burning and that will lead to melted pistons. You will have more luck in transplanting a turbo motor into your car. Sadly it isn't 'just' a case of bolting a turbo onto your motor. Even if your model comes with a turbo engined option in other models, your two engines won't be the same. The turbo engine will have uprated internals compared to your non turbo engine.

If you do that than why put a turbo on it? Thank about what a turbo does..... What you will need to do is replace the piston rings, both, oil and compression. The ones you have in there will not hold up to the added pressure on compression and ignition strokes. If you don't than the first thing you will find is excessive oil blow by and fuel in your oil. Why do kids always want to soap up something not meant to be sup-ed up?

Is the mercury mystique gs a cheap built junk car?

Like if it has problems a few minor ones do you fix it? Or sell/throw it away? Is it nickle and dime type of car? worth keeping?

I have one seems like everything rust falls apart lots of recalls.

89,000 miles sell or keep?

Thank you.

Hi, If you don't like it sell it! They are not considered reliable, safe (bad front impact scores) or well built. Contour and Mondeo are their brothers. Sell it before the timing belt needs replacing..Geo

Throwaway car.

That's why Ford doesn't make the Contour clones anymore.

Why does my entire dashboard shakes bad when I drive 60 ?

Every time i'm on the high way and go over 65 my dash shakes horribly and when I let go of the gas going that fast I hear a slowing down type "Vrooooom" any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Its a 92 Ford Taurus..

Thanks

your vehicle is a front wheel drive car. either of the 2 problems i'd suspect are either the front tires are out of balance or 1 or both of the front axles are bent or damaged. usually if the inner cv joint goes bad you would feel or hear abnormal noises or vibrations or both. also check to see if your tires are cupped on the treads, to inspect them you would look at the wear pattern on the tires.

Are some or all of your tires different?

Are the wheels balanced correctly?

And has the car had an alignment recently? It may need one. Bumps in the road and "curb bumping" over time causes the alignment to be checked and corrected.

The problem should be addressed because the shaking will eventually cause other parts of the car to loosen and fail.

Just a guess but it could be a bad motor mount. You didn't state the mileage so just a guess.

Is it fine if i have 220w amp and 1000w of sub?

There is absolutely no way that you can ever or possibly damage a sub by giving it less than rated RMS wattage. All it does is give the sub a longer life span, and the amp a shorter one is all, only due to the fact that the amp is trying to max out all of the time. After quite some time the amp will eventually fail, not the sub.

Actually gotta correct you there george...

If you send too much power to your sub, you risk damaging it. The cone of the speaker and the mechanical parts that make it move may break under the stress. Surprisingly, too little power can also damage your subwoofer ?in fact, it's actually more common than damage caused by overpowering.

When the volume is turned up and the amp doesn't have enough power, the signal becomes distorted, or "clipped." This distorted signal can cause parts of the speaker to overheat, warp and melt. Not good!

You don't have to match speaker and amp wattages exactly. An amp with a higher output than the speaker's rating won't necessarily damage the speaker ?just turn the amp down a bit if you hear distortion from the sub and don't run the speaker at extremely loud volumes for lengthy periods. Likewise, you'll be OK with a lower powered amp if you keep the volume down and don't feed a distorted signal to the sub

Ya you just won't get the true quality of you sub you just don't want to try pushing to much power through a sub all though i have heard of subs going bad because they are havin such low power ran through them but that is rare i have never had it happen.

it would work but you wont get max quality of sound.

I want to make my 2006 mustang v6 sound as close to v8 as possible?

I just sold my 94 gt 5.0 and bought an 06 mustang v6 and am gonna miss the v8 sound (girls loved it!) so I wanna make my v6 sound as close to it as possible. I'm thinking about JUST getting a flowmaster 40 muffler and taking off the cats. You think this will do it (im on a budget)? Or should i do that AND put on a H-pipe? Thank you so much!

dont listen to that dumb **** what he know's i been working on cars for a long time try it and it will work..trust me ...i did it to mine..

6 cylnders will never sound like a v8 . dont bother trying , they sound like **** . dont take the muffler off as that sounds worse. sell it and buy a V8 . THERES NO SUBSTITUTE

How much did you spend to get your drivers licence?

Many thanks

Do you mean including lessons?

I dread to think!

I must have spent about 2000 on lessons

Then 30 for the theory test (60, as i had to take it twice, failed 1st time)

50 to book my practical test online

80 for the lesson before my practical test and the test etc.

Thank god i passed first time, or i wouldn't have been able to afford to take it again!

Lisence itself I'm not too sure, I think it's like 15 or something like that... I could be wrong (I did get my provisional like 4 years ago) but if you take the lessons and drivings tests etc into account it was probably about 1000 - as a rounded up number

well for my provisional 30 but my dad paid for it :D :P

got my first driving lesson on monday!

am well scared! :P

$20 bucks in Kentucky and I was calling it a rip-off. It used to be ten, and before that it was $4.

RM30 in Malaysia.

40 dollars i got it first go.

40euro on the test ad 15euro to send away for it

Hundreds....and I still have not got the horrible, elusive thing!

all in all...

probably around $1500-2000

what a rip off.

Where does the screenwash go in a 2006 Ford Fiesta please?

You are looking for a semi-transparent plastic tank, you may see the little motor/pump on it with wires and a pipe that will go to the jets. It will probably have a picture of a windscreen with the water squirting on it. Oh and hopefully it's the only empty one!

Pretty much the same place it goes in any other car!! If you lift the bonnet it should be obvious to you.

In the windscreen washer bottle

How do you wire up speakers to the parcel shelf of a car?

I have a renault clio 1996 and bought some 6x9s from ebay.

I've already cut out holes in the shelf and installed the speakers, but now i need to wire them up. My car didn't come with speakers in the back.

I need to know how to wire them up to the front.

Can I do it directly to the front speakers and just solder them to the other connections with wire going under the carpet to the back? Or will this be unsafe?

Thanks :)

I wouldn't try wiring them off the same channel as the front, if your front speakers are still powered off the head unit (radio up front).

If your car has an amplifier, the amp would be able to handle two speakers wired together, but it doesnt sound like you have that.

The quickest way for you would probably be just buying an aftermarket head unit (get a new CD player). Any aftermarket head unit is going to have outputs for 4 speakers (2 front, 2 rear), and that will drive all four of your speakers easily. That's assuming the radio in your car is still the original one from the factory? If its already been replaced by an aftermarket unit, check that unit for the outputs, it may already have 4 speaker outputs.

As far as the wire itself is concerned, running it under the carpet is fine, that's what most installations do anyhow. If you open the door, there should be a plastic or metal strip along the edge of the carpet. Remove that, and slip the wire under the edge of the carpet. Then you'll have to get the rear seat up somehow, they usually have clips on the bottom. Push the front edge of the seat bottom really hard towards the back, and push up at the same time. It takes quite a bit of force, but that's usually how they're held in place. Fortunately, they snap back in to place a little easier.

Should i get a 2004 CBR600?

is it worth getting a 2004 or should i buy a newer model? and how much should a used 2004 cbr cost?

Like any other machine, it depends on how the previous owner(s) took care of it. '04 Honda's for the most part will be reliable as long as it wasn't thrashed by some teenager. See if there are any maintenance records for the bike, and also listen closely to engine noise when they let you test ride it. If you're not satisfied with what you see, keep looking.

Hey bro you should shop around before you buy. Use eBay and Craigslist even your local gas station shopper. I live next to a military base and found one from a guy needing to sell his fast I ended up with a 2007 R6 mint with 1450 miles on it for $6500 and to think I was going to buy a new one. But I did a little quick research for you and it's looking to be on average $5500-6500

Where oh where is my power steering fluid leaking?

My 2006 Honda Accord Coupe 4cyl, automatic, 41,000 mi.uses lots of power steering fluid. I add some every month. I checked for visible leaks, under the hood on all the hose connections, and found none. Also there are no wet spots on my driveway. I can't go under the car because I have a bad back. Where else would it be leaking from? Should I take it to a mechanic?

the one place where power steering oil can leak and not be visible is through an end seal of the power steering rack. The power steering rack and pinion (steering gear) uses expandable rubber bellows that are clamped on to the end of the rack housing on each end. the other end of each bellows is clamped to the tie rod. the purpose of the bellows is to keep dirt from getting to the rack end seal as the tie rod slides in and out of the housing during turns.

if the end seal is leaking the fluid will leak from the rack into the bellows. it will not leak out because the bellows is clamped to the housing and the tie rod and expands and contracts. when the bellows contracts the fluid is pushed back into the rack; when it expands the fluid can move outward towards the tie rod and fill the bellows.

this condition can go on for years before its a problem.

the only other place to look is the back of the power steering pump. the pump only has two seals, one on the housing and one on the shaft behind teh pulley. if that's dry then the rack end seal is the only place the fluid can leak from

hope that helps

could be a power steering pump o-ring, but i would take to a guy to look at it.

Should I Get A Car, Motorcycle, Or A Moped?

I only need it for school. My school is only 1 or 2 miles away from my house.

Which ever one you say can you tell me what kind?

get an old car or motorcycle.. something to work on in your spare time. they are good hobbies. if you ever get a moped i will personally slap you in the face.. dont be a loser on a moped..

go with the car. cars are much more comfortable in rain, snow, hail, high wind, etc. Plus, you can haul stuff around with you.

What type of car you should get depends on your spending limit, and what you like. Watch out for rust. Once it starts it's hard to stop.

Mini coopers are the shiz.... starting @ 19,000

Honda Civic $15,000

Honda fit... NICE $14 or 15, 000

Jeep Pilot (i think) is like $18,000

There's always used cars... Those are all the new ones...

I would have to say a cars

buy a cheap car that runs or moterbike (cheaper) whatever one you prefer

Is anyone in Florida selling a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart? I will buy it for $20,000 cash!?

Yeah, if you get lucky enough. You can go to dealership and pull out the $20,000 cash on hand. They may change there mind and just give you the car because the way economy is right now. But if not, $20k is hella good down payment.

But good luck on finding a a used 2009 ralliart for 20k. Maybe next year though. No one is going to sale for that much.

well they start at 25k but im sure if u walk in a dealership with 20 and drop it on the table theyll take it with the way the economy is...

you might as well go to an actual dealership if you are willing to spend that much

What is Asia

Thanks in advance...

Philippine Airlines. This is it, check the internet!

Jerkyboy air and Asian airlines don't even exist!

it was called Jerkyboy air, Im serious.

asian airlines. jkaaay seriously

What is under my hood? 03 Eclipse GTS?

I just bought it myself, and it's in great condition. I already know how to drive very well, but I just don't know what everything is under the hood. I didn't plan on keeping it stock, and most of my friends said I should start with an intake.

Could someone please tell me what's under my hood so I don't look like a fool when I show people my new car.

Engine : V6, SOHC, front engine FWD

Displacement :3.0L

24 valves, 4 valves per cylinder

Transmission : 5-speed manual or4-speed Sportronic

Now depending on miles and abuse the car has seen you should be in the ball park area of:

Horsepower : 210 hp @ 5750 rpm

Torque : 205 lb-ft @ 3750 rpm

All you really need to know is it's a SOHC (single over head cam) 3.0L V6 engine and the engine itself is called the 6G72. Also the horsepower numbers the other guy posted are just how much horsepower you get at the crank but you aren't pushing anywhere near 200 at the wheels.

Kicker ZX2500.1 -OR- JL 1000\1 V2?

I just bought 2 JL 13w7's. I know JL makes the Slash 1000\1 V2 for them, But was wondering about the Kicker ZX2500.1. The kicker has a bit more power "I think", But is it TOO much. I DOUBT I'll be running it full potential. I just think the 13w7 can handle more than the JL 1000\1 can dish out. I would probably go with one amp per sub, it will be going in a suburban. Also would front, or rear firing be better.

the 13w7's are rated at 1000 watts rms each. overpowering them could void your warranty. its true your best bet is to get 2 of the jl amps. however that doesnt mean you have to get that amp. just anything that puts out 1000 watts rms at the correct ohms will do just fine. get as close to 1000 watts as you can though. plus or minus 100 watts wont be a huge deal.

also on a side note, i'd stear clear of kicker amps. 3/4 kicker amps have failed me in less then a year. and for no good reason. they just wouldnt turn on anymore. just a word to the wise.

good luck

RE Audio XXX model can handle more than both.

***Question about selling cars!!?

I have an 03 porsche boxster and the battery is flat out dead i cant open the trunk to boost it! help!?

i need to open the front trunk in my 03 porsche boxster and the battery is dead and i need to jump it but i cant figure it out! does anybody know? the little bar in the fuse box just triggers the alarm and the fobs need batteries! help!

In the fuse box there is a pull-out connector that you attach a battery or a battery charger to and the ground to the body. It will activate the truck solenoid to open.

You could also charge the battery thru the cigar lighter. Limit to under 10 amps.

So get batteries for your fobs and shut the alarm off. There should be a manual release somewhere. If its a stick you can always bump start it and let the battery charge.

What kind of vehicle should I get?

Should I get a Range Rover Supercharged, A Toyota Tundra, or a Mercedes Benz?

Mercedes-Benz G55 ///AMG

use your money to pay off debt & student loans.

or if you haven't accuired any of those yet, save your money for when you will need it.

get a used car a few years old that is reliable and cheap on gas.

cars loose their value meaning you loose money.

why give away money when you could use it on more important things?

How fast does an 07 Charger SE 3.5L V6 go?

i just got this car and i know it isnt the fastest one out of the charger models but i just want to know how fast mine is and how fast it is compared to the better models

The V6 will be shut down by the computer around 112-117MPH, the V8 is around 135.

1994 Mercury Topaz speedometer wont work?

The speedometer died out on me a while back.It just stopped working so I drove with out it.But now the gas gauge is acting funny too. When cars off it says its almost full! But when I start the car it goes down toward the E.I know I have almost a full tank.So what should I do?

Should I changed the cluster? If I do would that fix my problem. And another thing on the speedometer the trip meter dont work,Nor does the Regular millage meter, So that could be the cable maybe? where to start.. The check engine light has not came on to say it would be the VSS(Speed sensor). Thanks in advance

Check the ground wires that go to the instrument cluster. Usually the guages in the cluster don't fail, the sensors that send the information to them do. If the ground to the cluster is good, then I would suspect the fuel level sending unit in the tank is faulty, and either the speedometer cable (or electronics VSS, I can't recall which one ford used in the topaz that year) is broken. If the VSS/cable is broken the odometer and trip meter will stop working along with the speedometer, but if the speedometer gauge in the cluster itself breaks... the odometer and trip usually still work fine.

you have two problems the speedometer cable is broke and your fuel sendin unit is bad

Kawasaki KMX125 Gear Set-up?

Im getting a Kawasaki KMX125 on Saturday, i was wondering if it was either 1 up, 5 down or 1 down, 5 up?

1 down 4 up. 1-n-2-3-4-5. Good luck.

1 down 5 up is the standard. If it was set up for racing they might have switched it to 1 up 5 down. That way when your accelerating out of a turn with your knee dragging the ground you can still up shift without ripping your foot off on the ground.

most bikes are 1 down and then up unless the gearing has been changed to race status.

1 down 4 up

Preventing steep dive over-speed in aircraft?

How do aircraft in steep dives keep from going so fast that their wings don't separate from the fuselage?

They don't. Aircraft avoid steep dives precisely because it can cause them to overspeed. You can't bypass the laws of physics.

In some dives, having spoilers or speedbrakes extended, or gear, or flaps, can hold the speed down to safe levels, but any sufficiently steep dive will cause most aircraft to exceed their maximum airspeed. The wings are not necessarily the parts that will fail first.

A steep dive is rarely a necessary maneuver, so if the airspeed is increasing beyond the limitations of the aircraft, the pilot should just (carefully) shallow the dive.

In aerobatic airplanes, fighters, and any other airplane where steep dives are expected, the structure of the airplane is strong enough to handle the forces involved.

More advanced airplanes have speedbrakes and spoilers to help create drag, slowing the aircraft down. These could be used in a dive as well.

the dauntless dive bomber from WW ll used a combination of sturdy construction designed to handle the stresses induced by the steep dive, as well as flaps that can be split to operate as "dive brakes" to limit the maximum airspeed the aircraft can achieve is its 70 degree dives. other aircraft use light weight as well as a proper structure to limit their speed in a dive, the japanese dive bombers of the same era were done in that manner. aerobatic planes like the pitts special use a combination of light weight, proper structure, and built in drag to limit maximum airspeed in a dive.

Keeping an aircraft from over speeding has got to be one of the easyest things to do. If you are going dangerously fast, just pull up.

flaps, speed brakes, landing gear down, slips

Aircraft are designed to withstand the maximum speed they can achieve.

Citroen zx fuel issue pls help?

My diesel zx estate has a fuel prob. when the tank is full its fine but when its half full the car cuts out when im driving or when im in a low gear. The fuel flow is being restricted. anyone know how i can fix this myself? Also the back indicator is ok but when i turn head lights on it starts malfunctioning. i was told this is caused by a "bad earth" can anyone help me identify the likely place this has happenned?

Many thanks and the car is great otherwise.

as for the bad earth problem you need to take out the back light loom and then u should see the rear light earthed to the body check it there,

as for your fuel problem its not serious check fuel fliter which is in the tank,u can do this by dropping the tank and there will be four bolts undo them and that will allow you to get in to the fliter and where the fuel float is, start there and work forward hope this helps

How much is this car worth?

I have a 1998 cadillac sts 32v northstar with 103000 original miles. the car is in good running condition and is in clean condition as well i'm getting 4200 for it which is what i owe on the car is this a good deal or should i try to make 500 or 1000 bux on it?

ps: needs new tires, and the car shakes a little when going 65 or faster i think it's wheel balancing otherwise car is smooth.!

Pay $400 for new tires and an alignment and get that extra $1000 you want. They don't have to be Michelins, they just have to be decent brand new tires. That will improve your cars appearance and make a huge differrence in the test drive. A poor alignment and bad tires won't impress anyone and it will keep your price low.

It leaks oil check your pan gasket it'll be pissing oil.

offer 4000. if not, it aint a good deal

Can you fit a 4

I am a yankee excited about the Transit Connect coming to the US. I'm considering replacing my full-size pickup with the small van but I need to be able to fit 4x8 sheets of plywood in it for my job as a carpenter. It looks like maybe a sheet would fit if I slid it on the 8 ft edge up between the seats.

Yes, the LWB connect will take 8'x4' sheets loaded diagonally.

jee dude buy a roof rack no sweat then.load the van with other stuff

10 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?So do you know how long it is from regina to vancouver!?

i realllllllllly need to know how long it is from regina sk. to vancouver bc. by plane???? i can%26#039;t find it anywhere!! and i need an exact time please!!! i know its around 2-3 hours, so don%26#039;t give me that!!! thnx soooooooooo much!!!

Well, I live in Regina so I can tell you that you usually have to stop in Calgary first. This flight takes roughly one hour. Then from Calgary, it takes 1.5 hours. So at total, 2.5 hours.

A direct flight would take about 2 hours.

This is all assuming that you are flying WestJet or Jazz.

Hope this helps.

That would depend on the aircraft used for the flight. And even then, you cannot calculate an exact time for the flight due to weather and mechanical variables. Sorry, but whoever advised you of the 2-3 hour time frame was probably right on the mark.

Your travel agent can narrow it down a bit by providing you with departure time and projected arrival time but airlines only reach those parameters about 40% of the time.

yr sooooooooooooooooooooo wlcm!

Ever heard of Expedia or Travelocity?

The only direct scheduled flight from YQR to YVR is AC 8571, flown with a CRJ and a SCHEDULED flight time of 2:25.

But you if you want an %26quot;EXACT%26quot; time as you indicate, then you%26#039;d better take a flight and time it yourself. You choose when the flight time starts and when it ends. As the above answer indicates, there are a lot of variables.

the only way to get an exact flight time is to go on that flight... they%26#039;ll tell you such and such a time on the itinerary, but because of winds and things, they%26#039;re usually wrong...

a little hint for you: when the flight attendants say a flight time, that%26#039;s the time from takeoff to touch down... not the gate-to-gate time

B16y8 part is compatible with d16y8 or every letter has the own line/?

an engine component will not fit both. for hondas, there is the b-series, d, k, and h. all different

b16y8?????never heard of that before....anyways...no....b-b and d-d....theres no b-d....or vice versa....except for the alternator, motor mounts, a/c components....

d series drivers get the b series alternator put on becasue the bseries alternator gives more juice...

the d series motor can use the b series motor mounts...well on the eg models atleast...

there isnt a b16yb, but n e wayz yeah, anything is inter changeable in hondas, so long as the first letters match, b w/ b, d w/ d, etc

Still having problems getting my 98 jeep grand cherokee to start anyone with similar experiences?

ok i posted on here yesterday and we thought it was my distributor cap but apparently its something else. we have tested the following things. it is getting fuel, it is getting spark, and air. it just will not catch when i try to start it. the starter is not bad and niether is my battery. i have already had the broken distributor cap changed but it still wont start up. the man looking at my car thinks its an electrical problem or my timing belt possiby. has anyone had problems with this car like this and found out what it was that needed to be fixed?

Back to basics. Your engine needs the correct fuel-air mixture, compression, and a spark at the right time.

Is it the bullet-proof 4.0 liter I-6 or the troublesome V-8 engine?

Check to see if your crank position sensor went bad. If it did, you will get EXACTLY what you just described. Get a Chilton manual and look it up. Most of them are not hard to replace. The CPS senses the position of the #1 piston. When the piston reaches optimum position, it tells the computer to fire the plug. If there is no signal to your computer, it will just crank all day long and never fire, because the computer does not know the position of the #1 piston. Had this same thing happen in my 96 Grand a little while back.

If it dies everytime you release the key, I'd suspect the ballast resistor- if they use one.
