Why does my entire dashboard shakes bad when I drive 60 ?

Every time i'm on the high way and go over 65 my dash shakes horribly and when I let go of the gas going that fast I hear a slowing down type "Vrooooom" any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Its a 92 Ford Taurus..

Thanks

your vehicle is a front wheel drive car. either of the 2 problems i'd suspect are either the front tires are out of balance or 1 or both of the front axles are bent or damaged. usually if the inner cv joint goes bad you would feel or hear abnormal noises or vibrations or both. also check to see if your tires are cupped on the treads, to inspect them you would look at the wear pattern on the tires.

Are some or all of your tires different?

Are the wheels balanced correctly?

And has the car had an alignment recently? It may need one. Bumps in the road and "curb bumping" over time causes the alignment to be checked and corrected.

The problem should be addressed because the shaking will eventually cause other parts of the car to loosen and fail.

Just a guess but it could be a bad motor mount. You didn't state the mileage so just a guess.
