Can the rotors for a 98 Corolla can be installed off the shelf, or do the bearings need to be pressed?

My dad and I are replacing the brake rotors on my 98 Corolla LE. Can they just be installed off the shelf, or do we need to go to a machine shop to have the bearings pressed in?

I dont know what your saying off the shelf, but to answer your question you do not need to mess with the bearings to install the rotors. Press what bearings. wheel bearings are not pressed in. pressed in by hand not machine pressed,

take off tire. take off caliper, pull off rotor with your hand , it just pulls off you may have to lightly tap it then pull it good luck this is an easy job

on most cars now the rotors and bearings are no longer together the bearings are in the hub so you will only need to slide the old rotor off and stick on the new one after you have removed the brakes and mounting hardware
